We accept 35mm and 120 film, both color (C-41) and black & white for developing and scanning.Currently we do no accept E-6 (slide film), ECN-2 (motion picture color negative), or others. However, we are gauging interest in developing these types of film, so if you shoot a lot of it, let us know! We may offer it in the future. We do not develop or scan large format at this time.
All of our scans are extremely high-resolution. 35mm scans are delivered in a 2x3 (same as 4x6) ratio image, 4170x6246 pixels. That means you could print a 58" x 86.75" photograph without sacrificing any resolution. 120 scans are similar quality, but ratios can differ depending on the ratio your camera shoots in. Scans are delivered as JPG's by default, but can be delivered as TIFF by request.
Yes! 35mm costs $15 for develop only or scan only orders. 120 costs $20 for develop only or scan only orders.
Yes! So long as your disposable camera is shooting C-41 color or black & white, we can develop it for you.
Yes! We are happy to push your film +1, +2, or +3 stops. Please mark the film canister that you want pushed clearly, and with how many stops you'd like the film pushed. A $5 charge will be added to your order per roll that you push.Pushing film means shooting the film at a higher rating than its box speed. For example, shooting 400 ISO film at 800 ISO. You are giving the film less light than it needs, which essentially means underexposing. To compensate, we extend the development time in the lab. This allows us to bring back the details you would have lost from underexposure. This technique allows you to keep shooting handheld in low light conditions. The results are often higher contrast and stronger grain.
Yes! We can include the borders and film sprockets in your scan. We crop these out by default, but just ask and we will include them in your scans at no extra fee.
